Kita melihat bahwa kata-kata yang tebal dan berwarna merah diatas merupakan question words. Perhatikan penggunaan question words dan artinya dalam table berikut :

WHERE Dimana, Kemana	Menanyakan tempat, lokasi	Where does she live? In Bogor. Where are you going? To the bank. Where did that the accident happen? At the intersection.
WHOSE Milik siapa	Menanyakan milik/kepunyaan	Whose house is it? Mr. Palmer's. Whose car is it? Herman's.
WHY Kenapa, Mengapa	Menanyakan alas an/sebab akibat	Why was she so unhappy? Because her son was missing in action. Why were you late for class today? Because I missed the bus.
WHICH Yang mana (benda/orang)	Menanyakan pilihan	Which bus do you take? TransJakarta. Which city do you prefer, this city or your hometown? This city.
